Russian mercenary group Wagner ‘training troops in Belarus’ – BBC News

The Belarusian government has said instructors from the Russian mercenary group Wagner have begun training its troops.

The announcement is the first official confirmation that some Wagner fighters have moved to Belarus, weeks after their attempted mutiny in Russia.

In the aftermath, the mercenaries were told they could join the regular Russian army or head to Belarus, a close ally of Russia.
