Pres. Biden says ‘We shall respond’ after 3 U.S. troops killed in drone attack

During a campaign event in South Carolina, Pres. Biden asked for a moment of silence in honor of three U.S. service members killed in a drone attack in Jordan on Sunday, saying afterwards, “We shall respond.”

The attack by Iranian-backed militants killed three and wounded more than two dozen others, U.S. officials said.

The deaths were the first in the line of fire for U.S. troops since the start of the Israel-Hamas war.
