Kenya protests: Opposition blames government for police brutality

Kenya’s opposition party has suspended a call for nationwide protests – instead asking people to hold vigils for those killed in anti-government demonstrations.
Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga says he will present a case to the International Criminal Court – for police brutality.
He says the government approved a violent crackdown on protests against the cost of living and tax rises.
Rights groups say more than 30 people have been killed since March.

Al Jazeera’s Catherine Soi reports from Kisumu County, Kenya.
